The Ann Arundel Chapter, NSDAR, has a long and storied past. The Chapter was established November 13, 1911. The founding members were eleven women, most related by blood or marriage, and descending from James and Lt. Henry Baldwin, brothers and Revolutionary War Patriots. These women, led by Mrs. Alice Leakin Welsh, Organizing Chapter Regent, with a passion and commitment to the principles of the Daughters of the American Revolution made their mark and left an incredible legacy in Anne Arundel County, and that legacy is carried on through our members today.
The Ann Arundel Chapter, NSDAR, meets monthly between September and June on the second Saturday of the month in Crownsville, Maryland.
If you are interested in attending a meeting or want more information about our chapter, please contact us.
Our membership is open to any woman 18 years or older who descends directly from an ancestor who aided in the cause of American independence.
She must document both her lineal descent and the Revolutionary War service of her Patriot ancestor. For information on joining, please contact us.
